Priekulė

Lithuania

This small town on the banks of the Minija River in western Lithuania's historic Lithuania Minor region, Priekulė sits south of Klaipėda and holds a modest cluster of cultural institutions: two churches (a Catholic church dating from 1938 and a Lutheran one), a memorial museum dedicated to writer Ieva Simonaitytė, a theatre named after Ernst Wichert, and a hippodrome at Vingis Park where equestrian competitions are held.
