Skänninge

One of Sweden's oldest towns, Skänninge holds an annual August market — a tradition stretching back over a thousand years — in its modest central core with cafés and restaurants. Located in Östergötland, north of Mjölby, it is still commonly referred to as a city despite its modest size, a status it retains for historical reasons. The cyclist Bernhard Britz was born here.
