Rottenmann
Austria
Rottenmann is a small Styrian town in the Rottenmanner Tauern mountains with a historic old town core, several castles and manor houses, and a church tower that was once the tallest in Styria. First documented in 927 and granted its town charter in 1279 by King Rudolf von Habsburg, it is among the oldest towns in Austria. The Paltental valley setting brings mountains close, and the town has a reasonable spread of cafés and restaurants for its size.
