A compact town in eastern Saxony's Upper Lusatia region, Löbau sits at the foot of the Löbauer Berg, a volcanic hill that offers scenic viewpoints over the surrounding landscape. The town centre has a concentration of cafés and restaurants, and the wider region is within reach of several UNESCO World Heritage sites. Positioned roughly midway between Bautzen, Görlitz, and Zittau, it serves as a gateway to the Upper Lusatian Mountains.
