Sitting in the Müglitz valley at the foot of the Eastern Ore Mountains, Dohna is a pocket-sized Saxon town that claims to be the second-oldest town in the Free State of Saxony. The Müglitz Valley Railway connects it to the wider region, and the surrounding upland terrain offers scenic viewpoints into mountain country. UNESCO World Heritage sites lie within the broader region.
