Lobuche
Nepal
Lobuche is a high-altitude settlement in Nepal's Khumbu region, sitting beside the Khumbu Glacier on the route toward Everest Base Camp. The area is flanked by two climbable peaks — Lobuche East and Lobuche West — the first of which was summited in 1984 and is classified by the Nepal Mountaineering Association as a trekking peak, making it accessible to mountaineers without full expedition logistics. The wider region falls within a UNESCO World Heritage area.
