This South Korean city in North Jeolla Province is known as the City of Jewelry, home to the Iksan Jewelry Museum and a walkable centre with a strong café and restaurant scene. The surrounding plains hold remnants of the Baekje dynasty, and the Mireuksa Temple site — a Baekje-era heritage landmark — lies within the city. Iksan is also a major railway junction with frequent connections to Seoul, Gwangju, Jeonju, and other cities across the country.
