This coastal township in Pingtung County, Taiwan, Fangshan sits where the tail end of the Central Mountain Range meets the Taiwan Strait, producing a landscape of sea cliffs and mountain scenery. Its territory runs in an unusually narrow north-to-south strip along the Hengchun Peninsula, and it serves as a gateway to Kenting National Park. The township is also the ancestral home of former Republic of China President Tsai Ing-wen.
