Dawu

A rural township on Taiwan's Pacific coast in the southern tip of Taitung County, Dawu sits where the southern Central Mountain Range meets the ocean. The majority of residents are Paiwan indigenous people, and the area's agricultural produce includes pineapple, millet, and roselle. Highway 9 runs through the township, making it a transit point between Taitung city and the western Kaohsiung-Pingtung region.
