Caledon
South Africa
Caledon, in the Western Cape's Overberg region, is known for its mineral-rich hot springs and the Caledon Spa and Casino built around them. The surrounding district is grain-farming country, with canola fields turning yellow in spring, and the Klein Swartberg mountains rise nearby. The Overberg is also noted for its fynbos — heathland rich in proteas and other wildflowers. The town sits on the N2 between Cape Town and Gqeberha, making it a practical stop on that route.
