Pringle Bay
South Africa
This small coastal village in the Western Cape's Overberg region, Pringle Bay sits at the foot of Hangklip — a rock formation that leans out to sea and marks the eastern end of False Bay. The surrounding area falls within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hangklip Mountain, riddled with natural caves, once sheltered escaped slaves and bandits, with one cave still known as Drostersgat (Deserters Cave). The village has a modest central core with cafés and restaurants, and is within walking distance of the bay.
