This modest hamlet in the Lot department of southwestern France is a member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, set on the Causse de Gramat — the largest and most rugged of the four Quercy causses — and drained by the Bave river. Protected cliff faces in the surrounding area shelter birds of prey, and the landscape draws visitors for its scenic viewpoints and photographic appeal.
