A pocket-sized village in the Aude department of southern France, Alet-les-Bains sits on the River Aude and is known for its mineral spring, the Eau d'Alet. The surrounding area includes a Natura 2000 protected site in the Hautes Corbières, and the wider Occitanie region holds several UNESCO World Heritage sites. The village belongs historically to the Razès, an extensive historic territory of southern France.
