Aieta
Cosenza · Italy
A village in Calabria's Pollino National Park whose historic centre is dominated by a baronial palace considered a rare example of Renaissance architecture in the region, alongside several churches of historical interest. Aieta is a member of the I Borghi più belli d'Italia association and sits in highland terrain, with the Tyrrhenian Sea not far to the west, giving it both mountain and coastal character despite its predominantly mountain food and cultural traditions.
