The Certosa di San Lorenzo, one of Italy's largest monasteries and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the main draw in this compact Campanian village in the Vallo di Diano. The Baroque complex dominates Padula's identity, and the village also holds a striking number of churches for its size. The wider region offers mountain terrain and additional listed heritage architecture within easy reach.
