Villarrobledo, in Castilla-La Mancha's Albacete province, claims the world's largest vineyard area and the greatest production of La Mancha Denominación de Origen wine, making it a significant stop in Spanish wine country. The town is also a major centre for Manchego cheese production and export. Its annual calendar includes the ViñaRock Music Festival, a Carnival and Holy Week both declared of national tourist interest, a Wine Fair, and an International Chess Open.
