Bavarian-style architecture lines the streets of this pocket-sized Argentine mountain town in Córdoba's Calamuchita valley, a legacy of the German, Swiss, Austrian, and Italian immigrants who settled here in the early 20th century — making it the largest German colony in Argentina. Set among forested hills crossed by four streams, Villa General Belgrano pairs that alpine streetscape with a café and restaurant scene that punches well above its size.
