Alta Gracia, in the Córdoba province of Argentina, is built around the remains of a Jesuit estancia whose historic core — including the main church, the Residencia (now a museum), and the Tajamar reservoir — forms a UNESCO-listed complex in the town centre. The former home of Che Guevara and the house where composer Manuel de Falla lived add further stops to a walkable centre with a good café and restaurant scene, set in the broad Paravachasca Valley on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Chica.
