Tamparuli, a town in Sabah on the island of Borneo, is best known for its long suspension bridge — a landmark made famous across the Kadazan-Dusun community by Justin Lusah's "Jambatan Tamparuli" song, recorded in 1977. The town also draws visitors with its local noodles, sits on the road to the whitewater rafting destination of Kiulu, and serves as a gateway toward Kundasang and Mount Kinabalu. The surrounding area takes in hills, rivers, and rural landscapes close to the Tuaran District's western coast.
