Kota Belud
Malaysia
Kota Belud, a pocket-sized town in Sabah's West Coast Division, is best known for its weekly open-air market — the tamu — held every Sunday, with a much larger annual Tamu Besar drawing crowds from across the region. Considered the gateway to the West Coast Bajau heartland, the town sits within view of Mount Kinabalu and offers a café and restaurant scene that punches above its size.
