Takeo
Cambodia
Takeo, the provincial capital in southern Cambodia, sits within walking distance of water and within sight of mountains, with a walkable centre carrying a real café and restaurant scene. The wider province is a centre of Cambodian silk weaving — home to a large share of the country's weavers, concentrated in villages along the national highway — a tradition that may trace its origins to trade connections with India and China as far back as the 2nd century.
