Stokkseyri
Iceland
This tiny hamlet on Iceland's southern coast sits directly on the water above a lava field that extends into a reef-studded shoreline. Stokkseyri hosts an annual three-day harbour festival and is home to a ghost museum (Draugasetrið Þuríðarbúð), a pipe-organ workshop, and the seafood restaurant Fjöruborðið. The mountains are visible from the village, and the wider region holds UNESCO World Heritage sites.
