Serviès-en-Val

Compact hamlet in the Corbières massif of southern France's Aude department, set in wine country on the limestone terrain that bridges the Massif Central and the Pyrenees. The Sou river and several streams run through the commune, which sits within the Natura 2000 protected zone of the western Corbières. Two listed monuments stand in the village: a wayside cross classified in 1911 and a château registered in 1926. Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage city, lies within the wider area.
