A small Gascon village in the Gers department of southwestern France, Samatan sits along the River Save with a café and restaurant scene that is unusually rich for its size. The surrounding countryside falls within a protected natural zone, and the Pyrenees are visible on clear days. The village also holds two listed monuments: the Château de Latour and a historic fountain.
