A Mediterranean coastal town in the Pyrénées-Orientales, Saint-Cyprien holds the third-largest marina in France and sits within the historic Roussillon region, surrounded by vineyards and with the Pyrenees visible inland. Developed as a resort from the 1960s as part of a national coastal tourism programme, it has a modest central core with cafés and restaurants, and its lagoon areas are protected under two Natura 2000 designations.
