A mountain city in central Taiwan's Nantou County with an exceptionally dense café and restaurant scene and a notable concentration of historic churches in its centre, Puli sits within a basin that has made it a hub for exploring the surrounding highland interior. National Chi Nan International University lies on its southwestern edge, and the city serves as a regional centre for several neighbouring townships.
