Puhajarve
Estonia
This little Estonian village in Otepää Parish, Valga County, sits beside a lake whose name translates roughly as "Holy Lake" — recorded in German as Heiligensee and referenced as early as 1417. The village holds a war memorial stone, a war oak, and a grove of oaks associated with local history, alongside ancient oak trees on the nearby islets of Kloostrisaar and Sõsarsaared.
