A modest town in the highlands of Bosnia and Herzegovina's West Herzegovina Canton, Posušje sits in the Posuško polje basin near the Croatian border, with a modest central core of cafés and restaurants. Its position at the crossroads of routes connecting Split and Imotski in Croatia with Tomislavgrad and Mostar makes it a practical stop in mountain terrain, with UNESCO World Heritage sites accessible in the wider region.
