A compact town in northern Portugal's Alto Minho with a café and restaurant scene that holds a surprising number of options for its size, Paredes de Coura sits on the water and within reach of the Corno do Bico highlands. The wider region holds UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the municipality is bordered by the Minho's river valleys and neighbouring towns of Valença, Monção, and Ponte de Lima.
