Noto
Siracusa · Italy
Rebuilt in the early 18th century after a devastating earthquake, Noto is one of eight Late Baroque towns in Sicily's Val di Noto declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, and widely considered the most photogenic of the group. The historic centre is compact and walkable, dense with ornate churches and a strong food-and-drink scene, set at the foot of the Hyblaean Mountains near the Sicilian coast.
