Newcastle Emlyn
TLL41 · United Kingdom
A small market town on the River Teifi in West Wales, Newcastle Emlyn has a café and restaurant scene and a concentration of historic churches that punch above its size. The town grew around a 13th-century castle and straddles the Carmarthenshire–Ceredigion border, with the village of Adpar — historically a borough in its own right — sitting across the river to the north. The Teifi valley and nearby uplands add an outdoor dimension for those passing through.
