Mehikoorma

Sitting on the shore of Lake Lämmijärv at the narrowest point of the Peipsi-Pskov lake system, this little hamlet in southeastern Estonia has a lighthouse, an Orthodox church, and the ruins of a Lutheran church. The lake narrows to under two kilometres here, making the opposite shore — Russian territory — clearly visible across the water.
