Lussan

This compact village on a rocky outcrop above the garrigue scrubland of the Gard in southern France, Lussan was added to the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France list in 2016. The commune holds four protected historic monuments, including a classified menhir known as the Pierre Plantée, a château, and a Protestant temple. Three other Gard villages share the same label in the wider region, and the area sits within reach of the Mediterranean climate zone of Occitanie.
