Longtan District
Taiwan
This rural district in southern Taoyuan City, Longtan is known for the Buddhist temple set on Longtan Lake and for producing two well-regarded teas — Oriental Beauty and Longquan — grown in the area's highland terrain. The district is also home to the Republic of China Army headquarters and several military research installations, including the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology. Longtan Shengji Pavilion and Yongfu Temple are among the main visitor sites.
