Largentière

Silver mining shaped this pocket-sized Ardèche village for centuries — its name, adopted in the 13th century, refers directly to the silver-bearing ore extracted here from the 10th century through the 15th, under the authority of the Counts of Toulouse and the Bishops of Viviers.
