A small fishing town on the Malacca coast, Kuala Sungai Baru draws visitors to its jetty for fresh catches and offers fishing along the shoreline or by hired boat. Situated in Alor Gajah District in northern Malacca, near the Negeri Sembilan border, the town is also home to the Malaysian Maritime Academy (ALAM), a Petronas-owned institution, and the Melaka Islamic University College.
