This compact, densely populated town in the Helsinki metropolitan area, Kerava is known in Finland as a town of art and garlic, and is home to the Sinebrychoff brewery. Its centre has a walkable café and restaurant scene, and the surrounding area includes open-air recreation grounds and near-old-growth spruce forests. A short distance north of Helsinki, it sits within easy reach of the wider Uusimaa region.
