A compact Lithuanian town on the Merkys River, at the edge of the Rūdninkai Forest, Jašiūnai has a predominantly Polish-speaking population and a 1828 manor house complex initiated by Mykolas Balinskis, set within a park. The town also has a St. Anne's Church built in 1929 and sits a short distance south of Vilnius.
