Hobro
Denmark
Sitting at the head of Mariager Fjord in northern Denmark's hilly Jutland terrain, Hobro is a compact market and railway town with a café and restaurant scene that punches above its size. The Viking ring fortress of Fyrkat, built around 980 AD, lies just west of town, and the long fjord offers scenic water views. The surrounding hills to the north and south add further viewpoints within easy reach.
