Hadsund
Nordjylland · Denmark
A little Danish town on the narrow strait where Mariager Fjord narrows, Hadsund grew up around a historic ferry crossing first recorded in 1736. The western reaches of the area are home to Havnø Mølle, the oldest surviving windmill in northern Jutland, built in 1842 and operational until around 1927. Situated between Aalborg to the north and Randers to the south, the town is the largest settlement in Mariagerfjord Municipality.
