Gray

A little town on the Saône river in eastern France's Haute-Saône department, Gray developed a commercial identity from the 13th century onward and became one of the region's most significant river ports. Its architectural heritage includes monuments dating to the 14th century, and the Saône supports river tourism and cycling routes through the surrounding area. The town holds a real café and restaurant scene for its size, and the annual Rolling Saône festival takes place here each year.
