Grammichele

Grammichele, a small town in Sicily's Catania province at the foot of the Hyblaean Mountains, was laid out on a rare hexagonal street plan that makes it one of the few examples of rational urban design in Italy. The historic centre holds a concentration of churches for its size alongside cafés and restaurants, and the town sits within a wider region ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
