A city on the Ceyhan River in Adana Province, southern Türkiye, Ceyhan serves as a major transportation hub for Middle Eastern and Central Asian oil and natural gas pipelines. The river is dammed upstream at Aslantaş, providing flood control and irrigation across the surrounding Çukurova plain. Mountains rise within reach of the city, which sits a short drive east of Adana.
