Aracena
Huelva · Spain
The largest town in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche natural park, this tiny Andalusian town in Huelva province draws on the surrounding sierra for its character — and on the Gruta de las Maravillas cave system, which pulls well over a hundred thousand visitors a year. The town centre has a strong café and restaurant scene for its size, several historic churches, and a museum dedicated to Iberian pork and the Jabugo-denomination cured ham the region produces. Many of its most prominent buildings were designed in the early 20th century by Sevillian architect Aníbal González.
