Zhuoxi

A mountain indigenous township in Hualien County, Taiwan, Zhuoxi sits at the intersection of the Central Mountain Range and the Yushan Range, with more than twenty peaks rising above 3,000 metres. The Batongguan Historic Trail, built during the Qing dynasty, crosses the township, and the western half falls within Yushan National Park. Home to Bunun, Truku, and Seediq communities, the area is known for local agricultural products including pomelo, green plum, and camellia oil.
