Sanxing

This farming township in Yilan County, Taiwan, known for its fertile soils and agricultural produce — particularly Sanxing green onions, silver willow, and a local pear variety. The area sits at the southwestern edge of the Lanyang Plain near the Central Mountain Range, with mountains close by and water within easy reach. It also hosts Taiwan's first geothermal power plant, the Qingshui Geothermal Power Station, developed after significant underground heat reserves were discovered here in the 1970s.
