Zagorz

Poland

This compact town in southeastern Poland where the Osława river meets the San, Zagórz sits in the Bukowsko Upland mountains of Subcarpathian Voivodeship, close to both the Slovak and Ukrainian borders. It serves as the most southeasterly railroad junction of the PKP network, with lines branching east toward Ukraine, south toward Slovakia, and west into the rest of the country — making it a practical base for exploring the wider Carpathian borderlands.
