Ystrad
TLL51 · United Kingdom
A small South Wales Valleys settlement in the Rhondda Fawr valley, Ystrad carries a notable place in Welsh religious history as the site of Nebo Chapel, the first Baptist chapel in the Rhondda district, established in 1786. The River Rhondda Fawr runs through the village, and the surrounding valley terrain reflects the region's coal-mining past, including terraced housing and regenerated post-industrial landscapes. Ystrad Rhondda RFC competes in the WRU Admiral Premiership.
