Wheatley
Chatham-Kent · Canada
A small Lake Erie community in Southwestern Ontario that bills itself the "Freshwater Fish Capital of the World," Wheatley has a working fishing port run largely by local family fisheries and several beaches along the water. Wheatley Provincial Park, just outside the village, is one of the only places in Canada where the endangered Blue Racer snake is found. Point Pelee National Park and Rondeau Provincial Park are both within easy reach.
