Warabi
Warabi City · Japan
Warabi, in Saitama Prefecture just north of Tokyo, holds a striking distinction: it is the smallest city by area in Japan and has the highest population density of any municipality outside Tokyo's special wards. It is also credited as the birthplace of the Coming-of-Age ceremony (成人式), a tradition now observed across the country every January.
